It was a new week for Bunnies Tuol Kork. New environment, new friends and new faces but it was a great fun week to start getting to know your wonderful children.
We spent this week easing into the school routine. On the following weeks, we will spend building our classroom guidelines, getting to know one another, learning important skills and practicing all our school routines. This week we did various art projects, including making paper plate masks and free chalk drawing! We also did sensory work with play dough, stamps and finger paint. The bunnies are starting to sing along with our songs every day and it is so fun to watch them learn the hand motions that go along with them! We also did our weekly specials including yoga, swimming, and music class! The bunnies have come a long way from last week and have learned so much in just two weeks. They are now staying in line,
We will also be practicing more of independence and responsibility. Aside from cleaning up, washing hands, getting their own water to drink, and placing their plates in proper places after snacks we will also encourage them to place their belongings in proper places (like bags and shoes).
Coming up next Week….
Phonics - A for apple, alligator and ant
Cooking - Happy Face Pancakes
Theme – All About Me (Feelings)
I have just a couple of reminders for parents this week. Please remember to pack a swimming suit and a towel with your child for water play on Tuesday and swimming on Wednesday. I also want to remind you that it is important for you and your child to be on time in the morning because it is disruptive to the class when we have late students. Most parents are doing great with being on time but I just wanted to make sure I send a little reminder.
Please remember to turn in your emergency contact card to the office. If you did not receive one please visit the office for a new one. Also keep in mind that you can check out our blog over at http://bunniestkclass.weebly.com for classroom photos and updates!

Welcome to the Bunnies 2015-2016
I am so excited to have the privilege of working with your student for the 2014-2015 school year in the Bunnies Class! I wanted to send you a note telling you more about me and some information for the coming school year.
My name is Janneke and I am from the Netherlands. After a backpacking trip in South East Asia, I felt in love with Cambodia and moved here in 2012. Quickly I found a job as a teacher and so far I have experience working with children from ages 3-8 years old.
I just started at the Giving Tree and I am so excited about being your child’s teacher this school year. We will share many stories, games and learning activities I planned for them. I try to make learning a fun experience for your child by giving them the chance to explore, test, try and ask. We will also have lots of fun, develop a love for learning new and interesting things and make new friends. ‘
You will receive daily updates in the communication books that are sent home. Please send those back to school with your child every day. We also have a class website which will include newsletters, photographs, and a recap of what we do in the classroom each week.
To have the best year possible I need your child to come to class everyday prepared. Being prepared means coming to school each day ready to learn and with an appropriately packed bag. This bag should contain a change of clothes, a bathing suit and towel, diapers if needed, and a healthy snack if you wish to provide one. The school will also be providing a snack each day of bread, fruit, and milk.
On Tuesday and Wednesday we will have water play and swimming class, so please be sure to pack your child a swim suit, towel, and plastic bag so that your child can participate. On Wednesday we have cooking day, so please let me know of any dietary restrictions or preferences you have for your child. We will strengthen our bodies and minds on Tuesday and Thursday with PE and Yoga class.
Also please be sure that you return the emergency contact card with your child as soon as possible!
If you are interested in joining us in the classroom, feel free to come in to read stories or organize a craft. Just email me and we can arrange a day and time. Also, if you have any recyclables or other items you think we could use in the classroom, we would greatly appreciate it!
It’s going to be a fun year and I am so excited to watch your children grow throughout the year! I also look forward to meeting and getting to know all the parents.
Check out our weekly updates on the class website: www.bunniestkclass.weebly.com
Feel free to contact me at any time on [email protected]
Many thanks
T. Janneke, T. Chenda and Chantorn
